![]() Last year the State of Michigan adopted rigorous graduation requirements for students beginning with the class of 2011. For example, in mathematics , all Clarkston students will now be required to take four years of mathematics including Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2. In addition to the course requirements, the state has also recommended specific content to be taught in high school. For instance, statistics will be heavily integrated into the regular high school mathematics experience. Specific content expectations for mathematics can be found at the The Michigan Department of Education's under mathematics curriculum. For more information about graduation requirements, refer to Michigan's Department of Education website or the Parents' Guide to Graduation Requirements. The Clarkston mathematics department is continuing to study all of our curricula to meet the requirements set forth by our state and the mission of Clarkston Community Schools. |
